P3P: Valentine

Well, Valentine’s Day is coming up really soon now, and this is the card I drew for my boyfriend :3

I’m not worried about putting it up early, because I don’t even think he knows I have a DevArt xD

Anyway this took longer to draw then I thought it would, but I’m pretty happy with how it turned out!

The characters are from Persona 3: Portable. The girl is the Female Protagonist, and the boy is Akihiko. The reason I chose these two characters is because we actually met at a convention (Sakura Con 2011) cosplaying as them. And then we stayed in tentative contact after the con via Facebook for a couple weeks, until we found Skype xD And now we get to visit each other about once a month :3 And through all that a romance was born :3 And I really do love him <3 So very much <3

The caption reading “Isn’t this how I got your attention in the first place” is a joke about the fact that the girl in the picture is giving the boy chocolates. This is because when I first met him at the con, he was very quiet. Really, at the beginning I was mostly talking to his best friend who had come to the con with him. Because the con landed on the Easter weekend, I had stuffed my purse with a bunch of chocolate eggs witch I had planned to give out as little thank-yous to people who let me take pictures with them, but since they were in my purse I totally forgot about them xD For some reason when I was with these two guys I suddenly remembered I had them and realized that with the con almost over, I wouldn’t have time to give them all out… So I dug into my purse, brought out a big double handful and offered them to them xD And all of a sudden my boy to be was super excited and scarfing them down like a little kid xD And, you could say, that’s kind of how I first made a bit of a connection with him :3

So yeah, as you can see, folding the card down the middle makes it into an opening card with the picture on the front and a hart on the back. On the left inner side of the card is a little doodle of the Gir hat that he bought at the con, and showed off to me when we met xD And on the right inside, I wrote a little note :3 I also sent the card with a box of chocolates to complete the joke and treat him a little since he is so good to me :3

So there’s a bit of an idea for anyone who’s not sure what to do for their sweetheart this Valentine’s day :3 I hope you like it!
